PTE450 Introduction to Process Engineering

[3–0, 3 cr.]

 Introduction to the core technical skills and professional responsibilities common to all process engineering and operations; understanding and quantifying: process flows and diagrams, process thermodynamics, chemical process reactions, process mass transfer, heat transfer and fluid flow; operations safety, economic effectiveness and social responsibility.

Prerequisite: MEE301 Thermodynamics and CIE320 Fluid Mechanics.
