Vertically Integrated Projects Courses

VIP201 Vertically Integrated Projects

[1–0, 1 cr.]

This course provides an opportunity for students to engage in faculty-industry co-mentored, multidisciplinary real-world projects. Students will work within vertically-integrated teams that are led by faculty, coached by graduate students, and co-mentored by industry partners. Students will acquire basic level knowledge of professional (e.g., documentation, leadership and teamwork, communications, project management, intellectual property) and technical (e.g., hands-on lab skills, scientific concepts related to the project) skills as deemed necessary for the success of the VIP. Students will also get exposed to entrepreneurship and start-ups.

Pre-requisite: Sophomore standing.

VIP202 Vertically Integrated Projects

[2–0, 2 cr.]

Students will work within vertically-integrated teams that are led by faculty, coached by graduate students, and co-mentored by industry partners.
