Online Master of Science in Applied Artificial Intelligence

Overview

The online MS in Applied Artificial Intelligence degree from Lebanese American University trains professionals to evaluate, apply, and advance AI techniques to address real-world challenges across industries. With customizable electives in Business and e-Commerce, Healthcare, and Digital Humanities, the program introduces the latest AI tools to help students meet growing workplace demands.

Designed for working professionals, this two-year program delivers essential, applicable AI skills through an online classroom accessible on one’s schedule. As one completes courses focused directly on one’s career path, there are opportunities to discuss concepts with educators and classmates to reinforce learning.

Mission

The mission of the MS in Applied Artificial Intelligence program is to prepare professionals to ethically lead and advance the integration of artificial intelligence across industries. Through real-world applications focused on evaluating and applying the latest AI technologies, the program aims to produce innovative thinkers ready to guide their organizations in leveraging AI to solve problems and develop data-driven solutions. Core to our mission is equipping students to critically assess AI capabilities and implications to determine its optimal use in augmenting products, services and workflows to shape the future role of AI across society.

Program Objectives

The program aims to provide students:

  1. Equip graduates with advanced knowledge and skills in applying Artificial Intelligence techniques, enabling them to advance their careers.
  2. Prepare graduates for a career shift into Artificial Intelligence within their professions.
  3. Provide graduates with the ability to pursue their Doctoral studies in artificial intelligence related to their field of expertise and professional development.

Admission Requirements

The requirements for admission include having earned a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution. The bachelor’s degree final cumulative GPA must be at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent. The candidate’s work history, and other personal qualities will be considered if the GPA requirement is not met.

Applicants from programs where English is not the language of instruction must submit proof of proficiency by passing either IELTS, TOEFL iBT, or Duolingo English Test with the minimum scores respectively of 6.5, 80, and 115.
