PHA650AA Pharmacy Management

This is a one-month elective APPE that provides Pharm.D. students with the opportunity to contribute to the operations and management of a pharmacy department in the community or hospital setting. The rotation will enable the student to build a general knowledge base of pharmacy operations and management principles related to the day-to-day operations of a pharmacy entity as well as strategic planning and assessment of pharmacy services. Students will be involved in observing, measuring, monitoring, assessing, and recommending changes to current pharmacy workflow practices based on patient care needs, efficiency or safety gaps.
