NUR450 Clinical Capstone (Given intensively in the second 7 weeks of Spring)
[0–18, 6 cr.]
This course is the culmination of the students’ learning in the BSN curriculum in which synthesis and practice of learnt professional nursing concepts and health and illness nursing concepts is expected. It verifies that the student is practice-ready in a final clinical experience. In this course, students have precepted clinical practice experience as a final step towards transitioning into practice and becoming novice professional nurses in a selected healthcare setting. Students also participate in and complete a final evidence-based practice scholarly project that they present by the end of this capstone experience.
Prerequisites: NUR415 Healthcare Research and Evidence-Based Practice, NUR421 Health & Illness Concepts IV
Co-Requisites: NUR412 Professional Nursing Concepts II and IPE400
