NUR211 Summer Nursing Internship I

In the first internship experience, students are placed in general patient care units in hospitals, working a minimum of 96 hours to complete the requirement. The internship student functions as an assistant to a Practical nurse (PN) and gains competence in performing fundamental nursing techniques delegated and supervised by the RN in collaboration with university instructors. Students collect subjective and objective health assessment data.
Prerequisites: NUR201 Fundamentals of Nursing and Health Assessment
