LAS499H Honors Interdisciplinary Capstone
[3 cr.]
This honors course equips students with the tools to explore complex global issues through independent research. By integrating knowledge from various disciplines, students will develop advanced research skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. The course includes hands-on experience, peer review, and mentorship to support students in conducting rigorous research and producing an academic research paper and oral poster presentation. In alignment with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, students will work in groups to address at least one selected goal, fostering a commitment to global citizenship, entrepreneurship, and social responsibility.
Prerequisite: ENG102 Academic English II
It is recommended to take this course after passing 9 credits of Honors courses.
