LAS210 Poverty and Human Development

Poverty poses massive social, economic, and health challenges on both the local and global scale. In acknowledgement of the severity of the impact of poverty on countless lives, the United Nations has made the abolishing of extreme poverty a target of its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This course looks at poverty through a multidimensional lens examining present and future contextual challenges to reducing poverty worldwide.
