HCM825O Social and Behavioral Determinants of Population Health

This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the social and behavioral factors that influence the health and well-being of populations. The course examines the impact of various determinants, such as socioeconomic status, cultural norms, social support, and individual behaviors, on population health outcomes. Students will explore theories, frameworks, and evidence-based approaches to address health disparities and promote health equity. Through case studies, discussions, and practical exercises, students will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to analyze and address social and behavioral determinants of population health.
