This elective course introduces topics of public health as applicable to pharmacy. Topics address the leading causes of human death, measures of morbidity/mortality, outbreaks, health screening, major/common chronic diseases, and public health program planning and evaluation. Disease prevention, health promotion and determinants of human health are covered.

Co-requisite: Professional Year 1 status
