PSY446 Psychology of Eating

This course will focus on the biopsychosocial model of eating behaviors, with an emphasis on cultural specificities. Topics covered will include: the relationship between food and identity, body image, emotional eating, eating disorders, and the impact of social and cultural norms on dietary choices. Through this course, students will also cover the intertwin between psychological constructs and the development of healthy eating habits, food marketing, and nutrition-related decision-making.
