PSY415 Political Psychology

[3–0, 3 cr.]

This course aims to introduce students to the subfield of political psychology, exploring how psychology influences institutions/politics and vice versa. Topics will include the role of persuasion, bias, collective action, and political engagement among others as a way to understand voting decision and political dis/continuity. Through theoretical frameworks and empirical research, students will explore the psychological underpinnings of political engagement, polarization, conflict, and social movements in diverse sociopolitical contexts.
