PSY319 Neurolinguistics

[3–0, 3 cr.]

Drawing from psychology, linguistics, and neuroscience, students will investigate the cognitive and biological foundations of language processing, including phonology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics. The course covers brain regions involved in language, methods used in neurolinguistic research, and language disorders, such as aphasia and developmental language impairments. Students will also explore how brain-language relationships are studied and how findings inform theories of language and cognition.
