PSY303 Introduction to Neuroscience
[3–0, 3 cr.]
This introductory neuroscience course will explore how the brain develops, communicates, adapts, and supports cognition, emotion, and behavior throughout the human lifespan. Topics include neural communication, the foundations of the nervous system and the impact of nature/nurture influences on brain development. Emphasis is placed on the integration of neuroscience with core areas of psychology, and the role of research in advancing brain-based knowledge and applications.
Pre-requisite: PSY201 Introduction to Psychology
Co-requisite: ENG102 Academic English II
