PSY234 Development across the Life Span

This course provides an exploration of human development from conception to late adulthood, with a focus on the dynamic interplay of biological, cognitive, emotional, and social processes across the lifespan. Topics are discussed based on empirical research in psychology, aiming to examine patterns of continuity and change across major developmental stages—infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and old age—within diverse cultural and contextual frameworks. Students are encouraged to review key milestones in development focusing on developmental issues and their applications in psychological practice, research, and real-world settings.

Prerequisite: PSY201 Introduction to Psychology

Co-requisite: ENG101 Academic English I
