PHA650P Primary Health Care

This is a one month elective APPE that provides Pharm.D. students with experiential training within Primary Health Care Centers (PHCCs). Students practice within both the pharmacy and ambulatory care clinic as members of the interprofessional healthcare team, delivering patient-centered care to vulnerable and underserved populations. The rotation emphasizes the Pharmacist Patient Care Process (PPCP), primary healthcare delivery, public health, health promotion, health equity, and interprofessional collaboration within resource-variable healthcare settings.
