PHA567B Special Topics - Public Health

This elective course introduces topics of public health as applicable to pharmacy. Topics address the leading causes of human death, measures of morbidity/mortality, outbreaks, health screening, major/common chronic diseases, and public health program planning and evaluation. Disease prevention, health promotion, determinants of health, WHO sustainable development goals (SDG),  factors impacting health care delivery, and health cultural beliefs are covered.

Co-requisite: Professional Year 1 status
