PHA309 Pharmaceutical Analysis and Biotechnology Lab

This is a laboratory course taken concurrently with the PHA308 Pharmaceutical Analysis & Biotechnology course. It provides students with hands-on training in techniques commonly used by the pharmaceutical industry to control the quality of the product and by the hospitals to monitor drug levels in physiological fluids, as well as DNA extraction, amplification and gel electrophoresis techniques.

Prerequisite: PHA208 Medical Biochemistry

Co-requisites: PHA308 Pharmaceutical Analysis & Biotechnology and Professional Year 1 status
