OPM880C Production and Operations Management

This course is designed to introduce you to concepts and techniques for decision making at the strategic, tactical, and operational levels within manufacturing and service operations. The course initially presents a holistic view of operations and how to measure productivity. The course then progresses to introduce the strategic level topics of product design, location analysis, supply chain management, and JIT/Lean concepts. Moving into the tactical level, concepts covered include forecasting, capacity planning, process and job design, and layout. Finally, the course focusses on tools at the operational level including scheduling, logistics and quality control.
