MGT837O Applied Entrepreneurship Studio (online)

This course provides a structured and practical framework for entrepreneurial venture creation and growth. It equips students with the essential skills needed to launch, test, and validate a startup while integrating AI driven tools that support and accelerate each stage of the process. The course combines core theoretical foundations with applied, real world methodologies that guide students as they develop and refine their concepts. Students will engage in problem identification, market validation, business modeling, and preparation of go to market strategies. They will learn to use AI tools to enhance opportunity research, competitive analysis, customer discovery, prototype development, and content creation. The course places particular emphasis on idea testing, minimum viable product development, strategic planning, and legal and operational considerations. Case studies and guest lectures from industry practitioners will provide insight into the challenges and opportunities of building a startup, with AI applications embedded throughout to improve decision making and increase execution speed.
Prerequisite: Completion of core MBA courses. Normally taken in the final semester of the MBA.
