MGT420H Strategic Planning and Policy Formulation

[3–0, 3 cr.]

This capstone course develops students’ ability to analyze the external and internal environment, formulate, implement strategy, evaluate and control the process in complex, global, and digitally transforming environments. Through experiential learning, students will apply strategic analysis tools, data-driven decision- making, scenario planning, and a strategy-as-planned-emergence approaches. Recognizing that in today’s dynamic and uncertain environment, effective strategy requires both deliberate planning and adaptive responsiveness. To evaluate competitive advantage and organizational performance emphasis is placed on global strategy, sustainability, and navigating uncertainty through multidisciplinary cases.

Prerequisites: A completion of a minimum of 27 credits of core courses, senior standing.
