ITM201 Computer Programming

This course is an introduction to the fundamental concepts of programming from an object-oriented perspective. Topics are drawn from classes and objects, abstraction, encapsulation, data types, calling methods and passing parameters, decisions, loops, arrays and collections, documentation, testing and debugging, exceptions, design issues, inheritance, and polymorphic variables and methods .
ITM211 Information Systems and AI for Business

This course introduces students to the foundations of information systems and the role of artificial intelligence in contemporary organizations. It examines how data, information, knowledge, and digital technologies support business operations, managerial decision-making, and organizational performance. Topics may include business intelligence, e-commerce, databases, networking, enterprise systems, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and other emerging technologies. The course also explores the managerial, organizational, and strategic issues involved in adopting and managing these technologies in business settings.

ITM231 E-Business

This course provides an overview of e-commerce from both technological and managerial perspectives. It introduces e-commerce frameworks, and technological foundations; and examines basic concepts such as strategic formulation for e-commerce enterprises, management of their capital structures and public policy. This course is designed to familiarize students with current and emerging electronic commerce technologies using the Internet. Topics include Internet technology for business advantage, managing electronic commerce funds transfer, reinventing the future of business through electronic commerce, business opportunities in electronic commerce, electronic commerce Web site design, and social, political and ethical issues associated with electronic commerce, and business plans for technology ventures.

ITM232 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Analytics

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems exemplify a substantial business investment. ERP systems can help to assure competitiveness, receptiveness to customer needs, efficiency, and flexibility in operating a business in a global economy. Implementing ERP allows companies to re-engineer business practices around “best practices” and to leverage integrated information resources. This course is designed to give you the skills and knowledge you need to successfully plan, design, and implement ERP systems.

ITM301 Fundamentals of Networking
[3–0, 3 cr.]
This course is intended to provide students with knowledge and understanding of basic concepts of data communication in business environments as well as of computer networks and protocols. The material will be presented in the context of the Internet reference model, with particular focus on the physical, network, transport, and application layers. Frequently used protocols are presented (Mainly TCP/IP suite), which illustrate concepts and provide insight into practical networks.

ITM302 Data and Information Management

This course offers an introduction to the core concepts in data and information management. It is focused around the core skills of recognizing organizational information requirements, modeling them using conceptual data modeling techniques, translating the conceptual data models into relational data models and validating the structural characteristics with normalization techniques, and implementing and utilizing a relational database.

ITM303 Digital Transformation for Business

In the Digital era, all organizations should undergo the process of Digital Transformation(DX) in order to meet the needs of their dynamically evolving markets and rapidly changing customers’ expectations. Digital Transformation is the use of digital technologies to enhance various aspects of an organization including its processes, products, services, operations and governance. Companies that fail to undergo a proper DX in a timely manner are at a high risk of becoming obsolete.
The objective of this course is to clearly explain the process of Digital Transformation in depth, clarifying what factors aid in its success and which barriers lead to its failure. We will also discuss the role of innovation in organizations undergoing their digital transformation, while showcasing the solutions of the key challenges that are faced during the process. Moreover, we will explain the five steps of the DX road map, which are the steps needed to successfully undergo the DX process. Each of the stages explained will be supported by case studies showcasing how companies previously applied them in order to reach success. In addition to that, each stage will be supported by tools, which help us execute it properly, in our future DX initiates.

ITM311 Applied Information Systems and AI for Business

This course focuses on the practical application of information systems and artificial intelligence in business settings. It examines how digital tools, data management practices, and AI-enabled solutions support managerial functions, business operations, and decision-making across organizations. Emphasis is placed on hands-on implementation of information systems tools and techniques used in contemporary management environments.

ITM312 Information Technology for Sustainability and ESG

This course examines the role of information technology in advancing sustainability and supporting environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals in organizations. It explores how digital technologies such as information systems, data platforms, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and enterprise applications can improve resource efficiency, transparency, decision-making, and sustainable business practices. Topics may include green IT, sustainable digital transformation, ESG reporting systems, smart operations, ethical technology use, and the strategic role of IT in creating long-term organizational and societal value.ITM330 Financial and Accounting Information Systems

ITM402 AI-enabled Business Intelligence

This course introduces the World Wide Web and how websites are developed and deployed. Topics include the Internet; Web technologies and supporting tools for web site creation; multimedia, social media data; scripting languages; human-computer interaction aspects of web-page design; graphical user interface design; XHTML; Cascading Stylesheets; JavaScript; ASP.Net and or PHP.

ITM403 Information Technology Project Management

This course focuses on the basic aspects related to project management as it applies to the IT context. It introduces students to the most common challenges and risks associated with IT projects. It also presents the management role and major management skills that support the success of these projects, and are essential for delivering IT projects on time, within budget, and according to the desired specifications.

ITM420 System Analysis and Design

This is a capstone course where students are engaged in projects that are comprehensive in nature. The emphasis will be on utilizing the knowledge and skills acquired through the program in designing and implementing in a form of a project reflecting the Technical-Management interface function required from the MIS graduate. This course will explore the techniques of object-oriented analysis, and design. The emphasis will be upon the development of clean interfaces that permit easy modification and reuse of software components. Students will learn how to use object-oriented techniques in support of programming.
