HRM704 Return on Investment in Human Capital in the Age of AI

This course explores how organizations can evaluate and enhance the value of their human capital through data-driven analysis. By integrating principles of HR analytics and return on investment (ROI), students will learn how to assess and improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and financial return of HR practices. Key topics include return on training and recruitment, turnover and replacement cost assessments, cost-benefit analysis, performance metrics, and strategic workforce planning. The course also examines process evaluation, HR systems analysis, and the role of emerging technologies such as AI in supporting productivity and informed decision-making. Students will apply their learning through case studies and hands-on exercises that mirror real-world organizational scenarios.
