FIN407 Sustainable Finance

This undergraduate course introduces students to the foundations of Sustainable Finance and examines how environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors influence investment decisions, capital allocation, firm behavior, and financial market outcomes. The course covers ESG measurement, sustainable investment strategies, impact finance, climate- and biodiversity-related financial risks, disclosure and stewardship, and the role of regulation and standards in supporting the transition to a more sustainable economy. It combines conceptual foundations with applied analysis of equity, debt, banking, insurance, and contemporary sustainable finance practice.
