CAR680 Topics in Conflict Resolution

This course provides an advanced examination of selected and emerging topics in conflict resolution. Drawing on theoretical, comparative, and applied perspectives, it explores the causes, dynamics, management, and resolution of conflict across interpersonal, communal, national, and international settings. Specific topics may vary and may include identity and culture, local and regional conflicts, children and youth, negotiation and mediation, cross-cultural communication, and technological innovations in conflict resolution. Through case studies, practical applications, and contemporary approaches, students develop analytical and applied skills for understanding conflicts and designing appropriate strategies for their prevention, management, and resolution.
