BIO346 CELL & GENE THERAPY/mRNA TECHNOLOGY

This course examines emerging biomedical technologies in cell and gene therapy, with an emphasis on therapeutic development, delivery strategies, and clinical applications. Students explore viral and non-viral delivery systems, genome-based therapies, CAR-T cell therapies, mRNA platforms, and next-generation vaccine technologies. The course covers the translation of molecular discoveries into therapeutic products, including manufacturing processes, quality considerations, regulatory pathways, and challenges in clinical implementation. Case studies highlight current advances and future directions in personalized and precision medicine.
