Minor in Social Work and Community Development

Overview

In keeping with the mission and academic plan of the SAS, the Minor in Social Work and Community Development promotes active learning and students’ understanding of the dynamics of the social work and community development. The minor in Social Work and Community Development is an interdisciplinary program intended to provide LAU students with the knowledge, tools, and practical experience to play a proactive role in social work & community development.  This minor is designed in response to the mounting needs of local and international NGOs for community social workers. In particular, a minor in Social Work and Community Development complements majors in the social sciences, communication arts, education, economics, business, political science and management.
