Mission
The mission of the MA in Education at LAU is to prepare aspiring professionals in the field of education to become leaders, change agents, effective educational practitioners and educational researchers.
Program Objectives
Students who complete the MA in Education will:
- Gain critical understanding of curriculum and pedagogy;
- Develop dispositions for continuous professional development and leadership; and
- Conduct educational research.
Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to:
- Develop curriculum materials for teaching;
- Implement evidence-based instructional strategies;
- Demonstrate compliance with ethical educational standards;
- Analyze professional educational resources;
- Implement data-driven decision making;
- Formulate educational research topics and designs; and
- Engage in critical data-based reflection on educational practices.
Curriculum
The total number of credits is 30. Students choose one of two tracks- cross track or specialist area. The program is comprised of four blocks:
