TVF499 Capstone Project

[3 cr.]

The Capstone Project is designed to demonstrate a mastery of the skills required to create professional content for the screen. In this course, students continue working on their Filmmaking Principles and TV Production Principles projects, moving from pre-production into production, post-production, and final delivery. Students will investigate distribution strategies and work on developing a sample reel. The students completed a short film in a key position (Director, Producer, Cinematographer, Editor) accompanied by a written thesis as outlined in a written contractual agreement between the student and the project adviser. Students are allowed to produce their project using single or multiple-camera platforms, either on location or in studio. Students can choose the language of the project.

Prerequisite(s):  TVF 235; TVF 328.
