PHY402 Solid State Physics

This course covers crystal structure, lattice vibrations, the free electron model, energy bands in solids. Additionally, it provides an introduction to materials used in emerging technologies, including conducting, semiconducting, superconducting, inorganic and organic materials, nanomaterials. The course also covers the design, preparation, processing, and an array of characterization methods.
