MEE713 Gas Turbines

[3–0, 3 cr.]

This course covers the design, operation, and performance characteristics of both stationary and propulsion gas turbines. Students will learn about the fundamental principles of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and combustion processes related to gas turbine technology. Key topics include component design, efficiency analysis, and emissions control strategies of gas turbines used in power generation and aerospace propulsion.

Note: This course has not been thought since Fall 2023 and will not be taught in this academic year 2025–2026.
